Glasgow Jesuit Volunteers - who we are
We are a group of volunteers working against poverty and alienation in a city which has
some of the most deprived and marginalised groups in the United Kingdom. We spend a few hours each week helping
where our skills and talents can be of most use to those who need them.
What we do
We provide flexible part-time volunteering opportunities for adults
in order to respond to the increasing struggles of those living within some of the
and most socially disadvantaged communities in Glasgow.
We also provide a regular opportunity for volunteers to reflect on
the experiences they have had, to share their feelings and reactions,
and to make them part of their developing spirituality and world-view.
Information evening
There is an information evening for anyone who would like to get involved
on Thursday, March 29th, at 6.30pm (refreshments before)
in the Ogilvie Centre, next to St Aloysius Church,
25 Rose Street, Glasgow, G3 6RE
